Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time (5-10 minutes per pose). Yin yoga postures apply moderate stress to the connective tissues the tendons, fascia, and ligaments which increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility. Yin is a more meditative approach to yoga, cultivating awareness of one's inner silence and bringing to light a universal interconnecting quality.
